Brian Lorente is a fast-rising singer and songwriter who hails from St. Ignace, Michigan. Fans have been enjoying Brian's debut album Six Strings and a Dream and his acoustic album Out with the Boys since 2003. Since early childhood, Lorente has been entertaining and singing to crowds of all types. His first night gig singing country music occurred during his freshman year at Olivet College. In 2002, Lorente won the Entertainer of the Year award from the Mission of Hope Cancer fund karaoke contest, three years later winning Entertainer of the Decade. Since then he has written, produced and released two original country music CD’s Six Strings and a Dream and his acoustic album Out with the Boys.
In 2006, Brian teamed up with several local musicians to form the high energy country group The Usual Suspects. This joining has provided Brian and The Usual Suspects the opportunity to entertain fans across the state and the region performing his original country as well as covering current country hits. Since playing the local bar scene in the beginning of 2007, the group has quickly been booked and able to perform at several larger venues and festivals throughout the state. In July 2007, the group played the Common Ground Music Festival warming up the crowd for Montgomery Gentry, a booking not normally given to a first-year band.
